BlockBeats News, 31 de octubre, los investigadores de la Ethereum Foundation han fijado oficialmente la fecha para el hard fork de la mainnet (nombre en clave "Fusaka"). Durante la llamada "All Core Developers" del jueves, los investigadores de la Ethereum Foundation anunciaron que Fusaka se lanzará el 3 de diciembre.
Los desarrolladores han tenido como objetivo esta fecha desde al menos mediados de septiembre. Fusaka se lanzó en la testnet Hoodi a principios de esta semana, marcando el paso final hacia la activación en la mainnet. A principios de este mes, se implementó con éxito en las testnets Holesky y Sepolia.
Este hard fork Fusaka, compatible con versiones anteriores, implementará alrededor de una docena de Ethereum Improvement Proposals para mejorar la sostenibilidad, la seguridad y la escalabilidad de la blockchain base y su ecosistema layer 2. Cabe destacar que Fusaka introducirá el "Peer Data Availability Sampling" (PeerDAS), una tecnología para simplificar el acceso de los validadores a los datos. PeerDAS estaba planeado inicialmente para una actualización importante de Ethereum (Pectra en febrero), pero se retrasó para realizar pruebas. Fusaka también aumentará el límite de gas de los bloques de Ethereum de 30 millones a 150 millones de unidades, con la expectativa de duplicar rápidamente la capacidad de los bloques.
