BlockBeats News, 2 de noviembre, según CoinDesk, la audiencia de apelación del fundador de FTX, SBF, está programada para el 4 de noviembre, dos años después de ser sentenciado a 25 años de prisión. La audiencia del 4 de noviembre asignará 10 minutos de tiempo de declaración a cada parte. Un lado es el equipo del Fiscal del Distrito Sur de Nueva York, liderado por el ex presidente de la SEC, Jay Clayton, y el otro lado es el nuevo equipo de defensa de SBF, liderado por la abogada de apelaciones senior Alexandra Shapiro. Durante la audiencia, el juez presidente puede hacer preguntas para aclarar detalles. Esta audiencia no volverá a juzgar los cargos en sí, sino que se centrará en si el proceso judicial se llevó a cabo correctamente.
Según la declaración judicial de la defensa presentada en septiembre de 2024, SBF, como apelante, espera recibir un nuevo juicio presidido por un nuevo juez. Su equipo cree que el juez de distrito Lewis Kaplan, quien presidió el juicio original, fue parcial contra SBF e hizo comentarios injustos durante el proceso, perjudicando el caso de la defensa.
