BlockBeats, 15 de septiembre: Según las últimas estadísticas de GoPlus, en agosto de 2025, el ecosistema Web3 sufrió pérdidas económicas de hasta $169,283,216 debido a incidentes de seguridad. Los tipos de eventos incluyen ataques a smart contract, ingeniería social, phishing, rugs y rug pulls.
En cuanto a ataques a contratos y explotación de vulnerabilidades, 24 eventos importantes resultaron en pérdidas de aproximadamente $68.11 millones.
Los ataques de phishing en agosto causaron una pérdida total de más de $10 millones, con más de 10,000 direcciones afectadas, lo que representa un aumento de aproximadamente el 70% y 60% en comparación con junio. Algunas herramientas de phishing se han actualizado para permitir el robo de activos en un solo lote.
En cuanto a rugs y estafas, en agosto se añadieron 108 nuevos rug token a la red principal de Ethereum, Base y BSC. De ellos, 8 fueron en ETH, 46 en Base y 54 en BSC. Además, el 19 de agosto, ocurrió una estafa de ingeniería social que involucró 783 BTC (aproximadamente $91 millones), donde los estafadores se hicieron pasar por soporte de un exchange de criptomonedas y de un wallet crypto para engañar a los usuarios y obtener información, ocultando luego los fondos a través de Wasabi Wallet.
