SpaceX a officiellement annoncé que le commandant de la mission Fram2 et cofondateur de F2Pool, Wang Chun (@satofishi), embarquera à bord du Starship pour réaliser la première mission de vol spatial interplanétaire habité de l'entreprise.

Cette mission est prévue pour durer environ deux ans, le vaisseau spatial quittant le système Terre-Lune, passant à proximité de Mars avant de retourner sur Terre, marquant une étape importante dans l'exploration spatiale habitée commerciale en haute mer. Wang Chun a précédemment financé et agi en tant que commandant pour mener à bien la mission de vol en orbite polaire Fram2, devenant ainsi le premier entrepreneur à financer intégralement et à participer personnellement à deux missions spatiales habitées commerciales.
