Согласно отчету платформы блокчейн-аналитики Chainalysis, отдел финансовой полиции Фоджи (Италия) недавно раскрыл случай уклонения от уплаты налогов. Подозреваемые использовали Bitcoin Ordinals протокол и стандарт токенов BRC-20 для создания и перепродажи токенов, скрыв в сети около 1,1 млн долларов США (1 млн евро) прироста капитала, при этом прибыль постоянно реинвестировалась в новые операции по созданию надписей (inscriptions).
В Chainalysis отметили, что, хотя такие новые технологические средства могут казаться скрытными, присущая блокчейну прозрачность оставляет постоянную и неизменяемую запись транзакций. Блокчейн-аналитика позволяет эффективно отслеживать уклонение от уплаты налогов путем реконструкции финансовых сетей и сопоставления данных из деклараций бирж. Агентство предупредило, что по мере появления новых категорий цифровых активов разрыв между реальным состоянием в сети и задекларированным налоговым статусом станет ключевой целью для расследований глобальных правоохранительных органов.
