Chainalysis: Tax evaders are starting to use Bitcoin Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens to hide their wealth

Selon un rapport de la plateforme d'analyse blockchain Chainalysis, la police économique et financière de Foggia, en Italie, a récemment découvert un cas de fraude fiscale. Les individus impliqués sont soupçonnés d'avoir utilisé le Bitcoin Ordinals protocole et la norme de jeton BRC-20 pour créer et revendre des jetons, dissimulant environ 1,1 million de dollars (1 million d'euros) de gains en capital sur la chaîne, les profits étant continuellement réinvestis dans de nouvelles opérations d'inscription.

Chainalysis a souligné que, bien que ces moyens technologiques émergents puissent sembler discrets, la transparence inhérente à la blockchain laisse un enregistrement permanent et immuable des transactions. L'intelligence blockchain peut efficacement traquer la fraude fiscale en reconstituant les réseaux financiers et en croisant les données de déclaration des échanges. L'agence a averti qu'à mesure que de nouvelles catégories d'actifs numériques continuent d'émerger, l'écart entre la richesse réelle sur la chaîne et le statut fiscal déclaré deviendra une cible d'enquête clé pour les agences mondiales de lutte contre la criminalité.
