O analista da CryptoQuant, Darkfost, afirmou que, devido à recente intensificação da pressão de venda por parte das instituições, o prêmio da Coinbase caiu para território negativo, registrando uma mínima mensal de -0,0983%. Isso indica que instituições e investidores profissionais que negociam na Coinbase Advanced estão vendendo de forma mais agressiva do que os investidores de varejo na Binance.
O analista Axel Adler apontou que isso indica uma ausência de confirmação da demanda à vista (spot) nos EUA. O diretor de pesquisa da LVRG, Nick Ruck, afirmou que o declínio no prêmio reflete o surgimento de uma pressão de venda líquida por parte de grandes detentores, à medida que as instituições realizam lucros ou reajustam suas posições.
Além disso, dados da CoinGlass mostram que, desde 14 de maio, houve quatro dias de negociação com saídas líquidas de fundos negociados em bolsa (ETFs) de Bitcoin à vista nos EUA, totalizando US$ 1,3 bilhão. A Bitfinex relatou que, nesta semana, o interesse em aberto em contratos futuros ou perpétuos de Bitcoin diminuiu cerca de US$ 1,5 bilhão, eliminando a maior parte da alavancagem.
