Según The Block, Foundation, fabricante de billeteras de hardware para Bitcoin, completó una nueva ronda de financiación de 6,4 millones de dólares, liderada por Fulgur Ventures con la participación de Arche Capital y otros, con el objetivo de expandirse desde billeteras de autocustodia de Bitcoin hacia escenarios como identidad, autenticación multifactor y autorización de agentes de IA. Esta ronda de financiación eleva el total recaudado por la empresa a 16,5 millones de dólares, sin que se hayan revelado la valoración ni la estructura de la ronda.
Foundation también anunció que su dispositivo insignia, Passport Prime, ya está disponible para la venta a todos los usuarios, integrando una billetera de hardware para Bitcoin, llave de seguridad FIDO, almacenamiento 2FA, bóveda de información confidencial y 50 GB de almacenamiento cifrado, haciendo hincapié en la "autorización humana" a través de hardware dedicado. Además, la empresa está ampliando el alcance de la plataforma para desarrolladores KeyOS y planea lanzar la tienda de aplicaciones KeyOS para finales del segundo trimestre, con socios iniciales que incluyen a Cake Wallet.
