Macquarie: Reducing holdings in Bitcoin ETF, betting on stablecoin leader Circle

Según el informe 13F presentado por Macquarie Group Ltd a mediados de mayo, al comparar los dos periodos finalizados el 31 de diciembre de 2025 y el 31 de marzo de 2026, sus participaciones en IBIT disminuyeron de 5,126 millones de acciones a 4,139 millones, una reducción de aproximadamente el 19,3%, lo que corresponde a una caída en el valor de los activos de aproximadamente 255 millones de dólares a 159 millones; las participaciones en ETHA también disminuyeron de 3,634 millones de acciones a 3,289 millones, una reducción de aproximadamente el 9,5%, con la correspondiente caída en el valor de los activos de aproximadamente 81,5 millones de dólares a 52,1 millones.
Al mismo tiempo, en el sector de acciones cripto, Macquarie Group redujo su posición en Coinbase en un 19%, pero aumentó su posición en Circle en un 188% (valorada en 2,326 millones de dólares al cierre del primer trimestre), y también añadió una posición en BitMine (valorada en 4,153 millones de dólares al cierre del primer trimestre). Por el contrario, tampoco mostró aumentos agresivos en el sector de la IA, manteniendo una postura general cautelosa, con posiciones en Nvidia, Palantir, AMD y otros que disminuyeron significativamente, mientras que solo unas pocas acciones de semiconductores como Micron Technology experimentaron ligeros aumentos.
