La SEC de EE. UU. busca la opinión pública sobre los ETF de mercados de predicción y ha pospuesto el proceso de aprobación de los "nuevos ETF" relacionados. El presidente de la SEC, Paul Atkins, declaró: "Los nuevos productos traerán nuevos problemas", y el organismo regulador necesita evaluar más a fondo el impacto de dichos productos. Anteriormente, Bitwise, Roundhill y GraniteShares presentaron solicitudes para ETF de mercados de predicción, los cuales rastrearán los resultados de eventos como las elecciones en EE. UU. El analista de ETF de Bloomberg, Eric Balchunas, afirmó que la SEC está evaluando actualmente con cautela los ETF de mercados de predicción, de manera similar a como manejó anteriormente los ETF de criptomonedas al contado.
