Binance to Suspend Ethereum (ETH) Deposits and Withdrawals for Major Network Upgrade on May 7, 2025

In a significant announcement on May 7, 2025, Binance will temporarily halt all token deposits and withdrawals for multiple networks including Ethereum (ETH) , Arbitrum (ARB) , and Optimism (OP) , effective from 17:45 (UTC+8). This strategic suspension aims to facilitate the upcoming Ethereum network upgrade and necessary hard fork set for 18:05 (UTC+8) on the same day. Other notable networks affected include zkSync Era (ZKSYNC) , Base (BASE) , and Manta Network (MANTA) , among others. The upgrade is crucial for enhancing network capabilities and improving overall security . Investors and traders are advised to prepare accordingly as this upgrade is anticipated to positively influence transaction efficiency across the platform.
