SenseTime Plans to Raise HKD 2.5 Billion, Funds to Be Used for RWA, Stablecoin, and Digital Asset Businesses

BlockBeats News, July 24th, SenseTime announced that on July 23rd (after the Hong Kong Stock Exchange trading hours), the company placed 1.667 billion subscription shares, with an expected total placement amount of approximately 2.5 billion Hong Kong dollars. After deducting placement agent fees and other related expenses, the net proceeds from the placement are approximately 2.498 billion Hong Kong dollars. The subscriber in this placement is the international long-term capital Infini Capital.

The proceeds from this round of placement will be mainly used to support the company's core business development, including building an industry-leading AI cloud, continuously expanding the scale and scene coverage of the AI infrastructure SenseTime Data Center; exploring the technical integration and practical application of artificial intelligence in innovative vertical fields, including but not limited to implementing embodied intelligent robots, blockchain, real-world assets (RWA), digital assets, stablecoins, and obtaining relevant qualifications. The company will also leverage large AI models to expand the application of risk control and settlement in digital finance.
