BlockBeats News, August 26th, U.S. President Trump stated on social media that he will take tough actions against countries that implement digital services taxes, digital service legislation, or digital market regulations. He accused these policies of aiming to harm or discriminate against U.S. tech companies while granting special treatment to large Chinese tech companies.
Trump warned that if these discriminatory policies are not reversed, he will impose additional tariffs on goods exported from these countries and restrict the export of U.S. technology and chips. He emphasized that U.S. tech companies are no longer the world's "piggy bank" or "doormat" and called on countries to respect the United States and its tech firms; otherwise, they will face consequences.
