BTCS Completes Compliance Preparations for Tokenized Stock Liquidity Provision Under SEC Exemption
BTCS has completed its compliance preparations for the tokenized stock liquidity provision business under the SEC "Covered Firm" exemption for its DeFi business line, Imperium. This includes submitting a notice to the SEC, publishing relevant website disclosures, and completing statutory disqualification reviews for the company and its affiliates. The exemption order issued by the SEC on September 17 provides a temporary, conditional definition of a dealer exemption for institutions providing liquidity in automated market maker (AMM) pools at qualified tokenized security trading venues (TSVs). BTCS stated that Imperium has not yet begun providing tokenized stock liquidity and must wait for qualified TSVs to become operational before conducting business under this exemption; this announcement does not involve timelines for launch or funding commitments.
