Iranian Speaker Says Strait of Hormuz Will Not Open Until Conditions Are Met

Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not open until the United States lifts the freeze on Iranian assets, removes oil sanctions, halts all military threats and actions, and meets other conditions outlined in the memorandum of understanding. He pointed out that the memorandum provides an opportunity for lifting the blockade and achieving a ceasefire, which will help enhance Iran's economic resilience and rebuild its defensive capabilities. At the same time, Qalibaf emphasized that Iran is prepared to respond more severely to any transgressions by hostile forces.
