Rocket Companies has completed two acquisitions totaling $15.95 billion and is transitioning into a platform that connects home search, loan execution, and post-closing management. In July 2025, Rocket Companies acquired the home search and brokerage firm Redfin for $1.75 billion, and in October, it acquired the mortgage servicing company Mr. Cooper for $14.2 billion. The total value of the two transactions is $15.95 billion. Rocket Companies stated that through the acquisition of Mr. Cooper, it aims to integrate home search, finance, title verification, transaction closure, and servicing. According to Q1 2026 results, total revenue was $2.941 billion, with adjusted revenue at $2.822 billion. Redfin's monthly active users in March increased by 3.3% year-over-year, and the potential customer base for digital home purchase mortgages has more than tripled. Rocket Companies is set to enter a three-year strategic partnership with real estate brokerage Compass in February 2026, with over 500,000 listings expected to be added to Redfin. However, concerns about reduced competition due to the acquisitions have been raised, with U.S. senators arguing that Rocket Companies' acquisition of Redfin could limit options for home buyers.
