3.7 Million Auto Insurance Contracts Registered in Ukraine in Six Months

In the first half of 2026, Ukrainian drivers registered nearly 3.7 million auto insurance contracts, which is 6.98% more than last year. Insurance companies paid out over 5.6 billion UAH to victims, with the amount of compensation increasing by 95% due to new limits and rising repair costs. The total amount of accrued insurance premiums reached 11.7 billion UAH, which is 12.3% more than the same period last year. The average insurance premium for one contract was 3198.49 UAH, which is 4.98% higher than in 2025. The leaders in the number of issued policies were TAS Insurance Company, Oranto Insurance Company, and Knyazha Vienna Insurance Group. In terms of collected premiums, the top five included TAS Insurance Company, Oranto Insurance Company, Knyazha Vienna Insurance Group, Arsenal Insurance, and INGO Insurance. In the first six months of 2026, 94,999 insurance claims were settled, with the number of resolved cases increasing by 31.25%. The use of the European protocol has expedited the process of registering traffic accidents and improved the efficiency of the OSAGO system.
