Besant: "50 days of price increases can buy 50 years of a nuclear-free Iran."
According to a report by NBC News cited by Jin Shi, U.S. Treasury Secretary Besant stated: "I believe the American people understand that after experiencing a temporary rise in prices for 50 days—I'm not trying to pin down the timeframe too strictly, but let's say 50 days—the prices will eventually come down;
In terms of returns, we will gain 50 years of peace, that is, a regime in Iran without nuclear weapons. Thanks to President Trump, the American people are beginning to realize this truth: without security, there can be no prosperity."
When asked if this means prices will start to fall after 50 days, Besant said: "I was just giving an example. I don't know if it will be 30 days, 50 days, or 100 days, but being able to achieve 50 years of peace in the Middle East and weaken the Iranian regime is worth it."
