Block Launches Advertising Campaign to Promote Bitcoin Usage
Block has launched an advertising campaign aimed at encouraging people to use bitcoin as a medium of exchange. The campaign was announced on Thursday and will run across platforms including YouTube, X, Meta, Instagram, and television through Fox Sports until December 31. It also includes ads in select theaters during screenings of movies like Avengers: Doomsday and Dune 3. The campaign comes amid an affordability crisis in the U.S., with high prices being a significant concern for voters ahead of the midterm elections. The advertisement features everyday Americans discussing the cost of living and includes the slogan, "Some things don't make sense. Bitcoin does." Miles Suter, Bitcoin Lead at Block, stated that the campaign illustrates what a Bitcoin-centric financial system could look like and aims to show its potential impact on people's lives. Block, founded by Jack Dorsey, focuses on building financial products to facilitate bitcoin adoption and has previously introduced a Bitcoin mining rig designed for cost efficiency.
