Bonk Guy Responds to EMBER Address Cluster Controversy, Denies Internal Control of Over 50% Supply
Bonk Guy (@theunipcs) responded on September 13 to the controversy arising from the purchase of EMBER, which stemmed from a Bubblemaps cluster diagram. Some users believe that the diagram indicates that over 50% of the EMBER supply is related to the same address cluster and question the motivation behind the purchase. Bonk Guy explained that there is no internal cluster controlling over 50% of the supply of EMBER; the address associations in the diagram are due to the EMBER flywheel mechanism using externally owned accounts (EOAs) to distribute tokens, rather than executing through contracts. Since EOAs transfer to multiple user wallets, Bubblemaps categorizes the distributing wallets and all receiving addresses into the same network. He pointed out that the flywheel mechanism is one of the main functions of EMBER, and the addresses receiving tokens in the diagram belong to normal users, not insiders. Bubblemaps suggested that the project team replace EOAs with contracts, and Bonk Guy hopes that EMBER developers will adopt this suggestion, reiterating the denial of any association with the so-called internal cluster.
