Government Creates Commission for Sale of Shares in Sens Bank and Ukrgasbank
The Cabinet of Ministers has established a commission for the sale of share packages in Sens Bank and Ukrgasbank. Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky announced that representatives from international financial organizations and institutions of the European Union may be involved in the commission's work. The commission will determine the procedure for conducting competitions, make decisions on the admission of participants, agree on the starting price for trading, and submit decisions for government approval. The Ministry of Finance has already selected advisors for both banks. In August, Koretsky noted that the government instructed the Ministry of Finance to expedite the sale process of Sens Bank following the NABU special operation "Forest Gump," and the proceeds from the sale will be directed to the needs of Ukraine's defense forces. In October 2025, the government decided to begin preparations for the sale of shares in JSC "Sens Bank" and AB "Ukrgasbank." The sale will take place in three stages: preparation of shares for sale, conducting the competition, and concluding the purchase agreement.
