ICO Whale Moves 5,000 ETH to Centralized Exchanges
A participant in the Ethereum initial coin offering moved 5,000 ETH in about two hours on October 26. Among these funds, 1,500 ETH were transferred to centralized exchanges, representing an estimated value of $3.45 million. This holder initially acquired 100,000 ETH for about $31,100 and sold half of their position in 2016 for approximately $273,500. After these movements, the wallet retains 45,000 ETH, worth about $103.5 million at current prices. The 5,000 ETH transferred corresponds to 10% of the 50,000 ETH held after the 2016 operation. Transfers to exchanges do not confirm a recent sale, and the remaining 3,500 ETH were sent to other addresses without an established economic destination. The movements indicate a partial mobilization of funds, without suggesting a complete disengagement from the investor.
