MetaPlanet CEO Announces Commitment to Transparency Regarding MMXX Investments
Simon Gerovich, CEO and Chairman of the Board of MetaPlanet, which advocates a Bitcoin (BTC) holding strategy, posted a statement on his X (formerly Twitter) account on the 6th directed at shareholders and investors.
In his statement, he expressed gratitude for the questions and criticisms received over the past week, acknowledging that there had not been sufficient explanations regarding the company's capital structure and decision-making intentions. He indicated that the company would strengthen its information disclosure going forward.
The statement particularly explained the capital relationship involving MMXX Ventures, an investment company that is also a shareholder of MetaPlanet. Gerovich clarified that while he is an important but minority shareholder of MMXX's parent company, he does not hold any position on the board or as an officer of MMXX and emphasized that he has no involvement in investment decisions or transaction decision-making.
Management Decisions Are Solely by MetaPlanet
Gerovich stated, "What I can talk about and will talk about is only the decisions made at MetaPlanet," explaining that the investment actions of MMXX are clearly separated from the management decisions of his company. He expressed the intention to actively communicate the decisions made by the company and their objectives in the future.
Review of the 10th Stock Option Plan Completed
The statement also reiterated changes regarding the 10th stock option plan announced on August 18. The company decided to eliminate the adjustment clause linked to stock prices, fix the number of shares issued, and introduce additional measures to align interests with shareholders. They are also continuing to review governance and compensation systems, stating that they will announce updates once the work is completed.
