Metaplex Launches MPL-3643, a Standard for Permissioned RWA Tokens in the Solana Ecosystem

The Solana-based tokenization platform Metaplex has launched MPL-3643, a new standard for permissioned real-world assets and tokenized securities within the Solana ecosystem. This standard allows issuers to directly issue assets on Solana without the need for a wrapped asset model. MPL-3643 incorporates features such as transfer restrictions, lock-up periods, and compliance lifecycle management, built on Token-2022, sRFC 37, and the Solana Attestation Service. Currently, MPL-3643 has entered a limited open Alpha phase.
