The National Bank of Ukraine has deemed the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Sens Bank", Alexey Stupak, unfit according to qualification requirements. The regulator has demanded that the Cabinet of Ministers, as the sole shareholder of the bank, immediately terminate his powers. The decision was made on September 1, 2026, following an inspection that began in May. The basis for the inspection were violations of legislation and regulations of the NBU identified during banking supervision. Violations of corporate governance were recorded, including non-compliance with standards of good governance and disregard for principles of transparency. Stupak's involvement in questionable management decisions and improper performance of duties was also established. The actions of the head have created increased risks for the operations of the state bank. The NBU is demanding that the government not only terminate Stupak's powers but also appoint a new chairman of the board.
