Road from Lviv to the Polish border repaired by 57%
The M-09 road from Ternopil to Lviv to Rava-Ruska is undergoing major repairs over a 62 km stretch from Lviv to Rava-Ruska. The readiness of two sections of the route leading to the EU border exceeds 57%. The work is being carried out as part of the development project for the Trans-European Transport Network, funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Thirteen bridges are being repaired. On the section from Lviv to Zhovkva, which is 27.6 km long, the readiness is 57.7%. Four bridges have been completely repaired, while work continues on three. The lower and middle layers of the pavement are 90% and 59% ready, respectively. On the segment from Zhovkva to Rava-Ruska, which is 34.5 km long, the readiness is 57.6%. Of the six bridges, five have already been repaired. The lower layer of the pavement is 89% ready, the middle layer is 75% ready, and the upper layer is 55% ready. At the same time, lighting, barrier fencing, road markings, and sidewalks and bike paths are being installed. The total cost of the repairs exceeds 100 million euros.
