Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee Fines Companies 133 Million UAH for Anticompetitive Agreements
On September 8, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine made six decisions regarding anticompetitive agreements in procurement and auctions, with total fines amounting to approximately 133.3 million UAH. The largest fine of 110 million UAH was imposed on LLC "DE Trading" and LLC "Trading Electric Company" for distorting the results of tenders for electricity supply, with an expected value exceeding 1.5 billion UAH. Other fines include: "Romants Logistics" and "Albat" - 1.26 million UAH for collusion in the procurement of meters for "Khmelnytskoblenergo"; "Meganom Ukraine" and "Kabelsvetlotekh" - 6.76 million UAH for coordinated actions in the procurement of cable products; "Felitsityci Trade" and "Mishkovich Distillery" - 4.21 million UAH for collusion in an auction for the sale of property; "Buchatsky Malt Factory" and "AroBusinessVIP" - 4.62 million UAH for collusion during the privatization of the Buchatsky Malt Factory; SFH "Mendrik Anatoliy Oleksandrovych" and FH "Niva Rodnogo Kraya" - 6.47 million UAH for collusion in an auction for the sale of a land plot in Shepetivka. The AMC noted that several companies acknowledged the violation of legislation on the protection of economic competition.
