The Sandbox Launches SAND Compensation Claim for Attack, Deadline September 22
The Sandbox has launched a SAND compensation claim page for the cross-chain bridge attack incident on August 22 involving Base and BNB Chain. The claim window is open from September 8 to 22. All wallets that legally held bridged SAND before the attack can receive a 1:1 SAND compensation on Ethereum without the need to fill out forms or provide documents; they only need to initiate a transaction from their holding wallet. Users who hold SAND through centralized exchanges do not need to take any action, as the team is coordinating with the relevant exchanges to handle this. Users who miss the September 22 deadline can contact the official team for individual processing of their claims before the end of October. The team reminds users to be cautious and notes that they will not send direct messages or ask users to approve tokens, sign off-chain messages, or transfer funds.
