Crypto Highlights
1)Bitcoin Near $78,000; Briefly Broke Above $81,000 After the Fed Held Rates
Bitcoin last traded near $77,000–$79,000, and Ethereum near $2,300. After last week’s security incident, Bitcoin briefly fell below $77,000 and has now rebounded above $78,000. Markets remain divided on the policy path and AI-related risk-asset pricing; if $80,000 cannot be held, the next support is around $75,000.

2)Crypto Industry Increases Midterm Spending to Push Market-Structure Legislation
Public Citizen data show crypto-related organizations have donated more than $200 million in this midterm cycle in an effort to influence elections and push more industry-friendly regulatory rules. One current priority is advancing comprehensive digital-asset market-structure legislation after the Clarity Act was blocked. Fairshake and affiliated groups are supporting multiple candidates. Coinbase and Ripple each donated $25 million in 2025 to Fairshake’s midterm effort. Markets are still watching whether digital-asset regulatory clarity can improve further.

3)TRUMP Token Rises More Than 10% Over 24 Hours
The TRUMP token rose more than 10% over 24 hours and last traded near $1.7. Markets may be linking the move to the upcoming confirmation of midterm results, with political narrative and risk-appetite shifts driving short-term volatility.

4)OP Turns Higher After Stabilizing; Optimism Proposes Fee Rebate
From last week to now, OP has turned higher after stabilizing. Optimism Foundation submitted a governance proposal on October 29 to rebate part of sequencer and priority fees in ETH to partners bringing key commercial activity to OP Mainnet, with rebates capped at contributed fees and no OP tokens used to avoid added sell pressure. Remaining revenue can still support the existing Superchain buyback plan. Uniswap’s Unichain mainnet migration to the OP Enterprise window has Optimism taking over production operations, further strengthening the Superchain ecosystem and revenue contribution.

Stock Highlights
1)Apple Market Cap Once Again Surpasses Nvidia to Become the Highest-Valued Listed Company
Apple (AAPL) closed Friday with a market cap above Nvidia (NVDA), becoming the highest-valued listed company. This is the first time Apple has regained the lead over Nvidia since late July. On the day, Apple fell 1.2% and Nvidia fell 4.2%. Recent earnings from Intel and Amazon intensified worries over returns on massive AI capex, while Alphabet and Meta Platforms also faced selling earlier. In contrast, Apple’s relatively restrained infrastructure investment and stronger free cash flow gave it relative resilience during the tech adjustment. Apple is up 27% year to date, while Nvidia is down more than 10% over the past month.

2)Marvell Potential Acquisition of Lumentum; Chip-Optical Vertical Integration in Focus
Reports say Marvell is in advanced talks with optical-component maker Lumentum about acquiring it in an all-stock deal. At the time of the reports, Lumentum’s market cap was about $83 billion and Marvell’s about $221 billion. Market-research analysts said the core logic of a potential deal is vertical integration rather than a shortage of laser supply. If completed, Marvell would have the chance to integrate digital signal processors, lasers and optical components, improve product performance through co-design, control the supply chain, and sell more complete solutions. Optical-component industry gross margins have risen from about 25% in the past to nearly 50%.

3)Alphabet Fell More Than 10% Last Week
Alphabet fell more than 12% to $285 after its third-quarter earnings, with market cap shrinking by nearly $500 billion. Although cloud revenue rose 103% year on year, markets focused on the EPS miss and negative free cash flow amid continued AI-infrastructure investment. Market commentary suggests Alphabet’s core-business fundamentals remain intact, but a sharp short-term rebound faces resistance, while multiple institutions have cut ratings, target prices or future earnings forecasts.

4)Spot Silver Back Near $50 per Ounce
Spot silver has returned near $50 per ounce, and gold last traded near $3,910 per ounce. Precious metals have rebounded amid macro and inflation expectations; markets are watching the impact of subsequent data and the rate path on prices.
