Bitcoin Volatility Ahead of the Trade & Win iPhone Duo Finale
The Fed raised rates on September 16. Over the following week, Bitcoin climbed about 13%. Then, in a single afternoon, it gave back several thousand dollars. That is the market WEEX Trade to Win participants are carrying into the final weekend of the challenge.
The FOMC lifted the federal funds target range by 25 basis points to 3.75%–4.00% in a 12–0 vote. It was the first hike since 2023 (CNBC, Sept 16, 2026). The committee also signaled that more could follow: 12 participants in the updated dot plot projected a year-end range one quarter-point above today's (Bondsavvy, Sept 16, 2026).
A common assumption is that a hike pushes crypto lower. This one didn't, largely because nobody was caught off guard. Futures had priced in a 93% chance of the move before the meeting even started (Kiplinger, Sept 2026).
The real movement came afterward. According to a September 24 market recap from UseTheBitcoin:
- Bitcoin rebounded from roughly $75,000 and gained about 13% over the following week.
- On September 23 it pushed above $87,000 twice, failed to hold, and dropped as low as $83,508.
- More than $230 million in leveraged long positions were liquidated within one hour as the price broke below $84,000.
- On September 24, it was trading near $84,300.
CoinDesk linked the pullback to a wider risk-off move as bond yields rose, hitting crypto and traditional markets together.
The rate decision itself was the least surprising event of the month. What moves prices now is the data released between meetings. The next FOMC decision is due October 28 (FedRateCalc), and until then, a market this sensitive can swing hard on a single release.
Swings like these don't make trading easier. They do make leaderboards harder to predict, and that matters for anyone watching the Trade to Win rankings this week.
Trade & Win iPhone Duo Leaderboard: Final Two Days Before Sept 27
The WEEX Trade to Win challenge closes on September 27 at [TIME] (UTC+8). At that point the leaderboard is locked, and trades placed afterward do not count toward final rankings.
Full rules and the live leaderboard are on the event page.
One detail about leaderboards gets overlooked: a rank is relative. Your position depends on what everyone around you does, so it can slip over the weekend even if you place no trades at all. That is why rankings tend to move most in the final days, when many participants check the board at the same time.
The traders with the most at stake right now are usually the ones sitting just below a reward tier. For them, a small change in ranking decides which bracket they land in. If that is your situation, the useful work is arithmetic. Before the close, check these on the event page:
- The gap. How far you are from the next tier, in the metric the leaderboard actually uses.
- Eligible pairs. Which trading pairs count. Trades on other pairs do not move your ranking.
- Excluded trades and open positions. Whether any trade types are left out, and whether positions still open at the cutoff are counted.
The other half of the calculation never shows up on a leaderboard. More turnover means more fees. Larger positions mean more liquidation risk, and September 23 showed how fast that risk can arrive. Once Bitcoin slipped below $86,000, it fell roughly $2,000 in about 30 minutes, and forced selling accelerated the drop. A ranking reward rarely covers the cost of a position closed out at the wrong moment.
In competitions like this, the strongest finishes tend to come from traders who knew their numbers before the final weekend began.
After the close, there is a short gap before results are final. Rankings are typically checked for wash trading, bulk registrations and other rule violations before rewards are confirmed. WEEX event rules generally allow participants to be disqualified for this kind of activity, so it pays to stay within the published rules right up to the close.
WEEX GoGoGo Ep. 07 Goes Live Sept 29: Winners Revealed Live
Two days after the leaderboard locks, WEEX goes live. The GoGoGo live stream starts on September 29 at [TIME] (UTC+8) on [PLATFORM / LIVESTREAM LINK], and it is where the challenge officially wraps up.
Trade & Win iPhone Duo Challenge Recap
The stream opens with a recap of how the competition played out.
For most participants, this is the most useful part of the broadcast. Traders usually review only their own history, and mostly the losing trades. A competition recap shows the same market from many positions at once. The challenge window covered a rate decision, a 13% rebound and a sharp reversal. Seeing how rankings shifted through each of those moments makes it easier to separate a poor decision from a difficult market, and that distinction is hard to see from a single account.
How to Review Your Trading Performance
The recap is more useful if you arrive with your own record in hand. Before September 29, it is worth pulling your trade history for the challenge window and marking three dates on it: September 16, when the rate decision landed; the rebound week that followed; and September 23, when Bitcoin reversed from above $87,000.
As the recap moves through the competition, you can hold your own timeline up against it. Were your largest trades placed before or after the big moves? Did your rank change because of what you did, or because of what others did around you? Questions like these are hard to answer while a competition is running. Two days after it ends, with the full picture on screen, they get much easier.
Final Leaderboard Results and Awards
Next comes the final leaderboard and the prize presentation for top-ranked traders.
A published leaderboard gives you names and numbers. The stream adds what the table leaves out: how close the margins were at the top, and how the rankings changed in the last hours before the close.
Why WEEX Is Bringing the Finale Live
Live streams also give users something support tickets and announcement posts can't: a real-time conversation with the people running the platform.
That openness is in keeping with how WEEX has operated since 2018, including the 1,000 BTC Protection Fund, which users can verify on-chain. A public, on-camera recap follows the same idea: show the details and let users judge for themselves.
Apple Watch, AirPods & More: Join the GoGoGo Live Prize Draw
A trading competition rewards a small group of top finishers. The live raffle is how WEEX opens the finale to everyone else who followed along.
That matters because most people who follow a trading challenge never finish near the top of the board. Some joined late, some traded small, and some simply watched the rankings. Including them turns the finale into something the whole community can take part in.
During the GoGoGo stream, WEEX will run a lucky draw for viewers, with an Apple Watch, AirPods and more in the prize pool. The draw is tied to being in the stream, not to your final ranking. Whether you finished on the leaderboard or watched the challenge from the sidelines, you have the same shot at the draw.
A few practical steps before September 29:
- Set a reminder on [PLATFORM], and convert [TIME] (UTC+8) to your local time zone.
- Plan to stay for the full broadcast, since you need to be present when the draw takes place.
- Only trust official channels. Prize giveaways attract impersonators. Winner announcements will come through official WEEX channels, and no legitimate prize notification will ever ask for your password, 2FA code or private keys.
