World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a digital asset project, plans to integrate USD1 into large online enterprises. Bam Azizi, co-founder and CEO of payment infrastructure provider Mesh, announced a partnership with WLFI, allowing USD1 holders to use the stablecoin through its merchant network, with a launch planned for this quarter. WLFI is backed by the Trump family, and the USD1 it issues is managed by BitGo, with reserves including cash, U.S. government money market funds, and other cash equivalents, aimed at maintaining a value of 1 dollar. The market capitalization of USD1 is approximately $4.45 billion. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) conditionally approved WLFI to establish a national trust bank in August, to issue dollar-backed stablecoins and custody digital assets. WLFI CEO Zach Witkoff stated that currently, USD1 is issued through BitGo, and after obtaining trust bank approval, WLFI will take on the responsibility of issuance itself.
