Ripple Records 15 Million RLUSD Burn
It has been confirmed that 15 million RLUSD have been burned from Ripple's RLUSD treasury. RLUSD is structured to adjust its supply during the issuance and redemption process, making it difficult to definitively conclude a decrease in demand or supply based solely on this burn. According to the on-chain tracking service Burnalytics, the burn record is marked at 4:21 PM on September 2, but the exact transaction hash and occurrence time of the transaction have not been verified. RLUSD is a stablecoin that can be redeemed on a 1:1 basis with the US dollar and is issued across multiple blockchains, including XRP Ledger and Ethereum. Burns can occur not only during customer redemptions but also during liquidity adjustments by chain or in the issuance and redemption processing. The total supply is estimated to be around $2.4 billion, and according to CoinGecko, the market capitalization of RLUSD is approximately $2.421 billion, with a circulating supply of about 2.4 billion tokens. If a similar scale of issuance followed immediately after the burn, it could indicate liquidity reallocation between chains or redemption processing, and if the net supply has decreased, additional demand indicators need to be confirmed. With the currently verified data, it is difficult to specify the nature of the transaction, and further verification is necessary.
