Zankore Secures $3.1 Billion GPU Financing
Indonesian AI infrastructure platform Zankore has secured support from NVIDIA, signing a $3.1 billion loan agreement to purchase advanced chips, reflecting the surge in demand for computing power in Asia. Citigroup, Dutch bank ING, Natixis, Qatar National Bank, and UOB underwrote the loan, making it one of the largest AI infrastructure financings in Asia. Citigroup acted as the sole debt advisor for the transaction. GPU financing is becoming a new frontier for AI lenders, with banks and private credit focusing on hardware that powers data centers. In Asia, bank-led transactions have been relatively scarce due to uncertainties around chip residual values and geopolitical risks stemming from U.S.-China technology competition.
