Aerodrome's WETH/USDC Concentrated Liquidity Accounts for 32% of Base USDC Adjusted Transfer Value
Aerodrome's WETH/USDC concentrated liquidity accounted for approximately 32% of the USDC adjusted transfer value generated on Base over the past year. This transfer volume was primarily attributed to liquidity rebalancing and automated trading. Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, stated that Aerodrome recorded the highest USDC transfer volume. According to CoinMetrics, Aerodrome's WETH/USDC pool processed $6.4 trillion out of $20 trillion over the past year. The adjusted USDC transfer volume on Base reached $5.3 trillion by January 2026, with half of it generated from Aerodrome and DeFi activities. In January 2026, Aerodrome's USDC transfer volume exceeded $100 billion, but daily net inflows and outflows mostly remained around ±$20 million. While the total movement was significant, net capital movement was limited. Approximately 80% of Aerodrome's activity occurred across five addresses, indicating a substantial impact from automated trading. Talos reported that 69% of the raw USDC transfer volume on Base in 2026 was linked to Aerodrome's liquidity provision activities. Adjusted transfer volume serves as an indicator to understand actual payment flows and should be compared using different criteria than raw transfer volume. Aerodrome is an AMM-based decentralized exchange where liquidity providers place funds within specific price ranges.
