Moonlight Dark has obtained approximately 20,000 NVIDIA H200 chips through Alibaba, which are a crucial component of the overall computing power for the Kimi model. Alibaba denies providing H200 chips to Moonlight Dark but does not refute the existence of a computing power collaboration between the two parties. Alibaba is a major investor and cloud service provider for Moonlight Dark. Kimi has surpassed Alibaba's own Qianwen in several key metrics, leading to disappointment among some within Alibaba.
