Arbitrum Targets European Investors Managing €800 Billion With Revenue Model
Arbitrum representatives presented the network's infrastructure and revenue model to European financial institutions managing over €800 billion in assets during meetings on October 16. These discussions focused on the commercial potential of blockchain infrastructure, emphasizing revenue generation through licensing, network services, and support for financial applications. The institutions attending do not represent confirmed investments in Arbitrum or its native token ARB. Research alongside WisdomTree material highlighted Arbitrum's financial performance and the potential for sustainable revenue, moving away from reliance on speculative token trading. Institutional projects utilizing Arbitrum technology could pave the way for this model, allowing financial businesses to adopt blockchain without requiring customers to trade ARB directly. However, the meetings do not confirm any commitments from participating banks to deploy the technology or purchase tokens. Arbitrum's next challenge is to convert discussions into commercial integrations, addressing banks' concerns about reliability, compliance, privacy, and the economics of blockchain use. The shift in focus indicates a growing desire among blockchain companies to be evaluated based on service value rather than token prices.
