Argentinian Teams' Rivals in the Round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana
River, Boca, and Tigre will represent Argentina in the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana, where they already know their rivals. River advanced after finishing first in Group H with 14 points, allowing them to define their series at home. Boca reached this stage after defeating O'Higgins from Chile in penalties, having been one of the third-placed teams in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores. Tigre qualified by eliminating Nacional from Uruguay in the previous round. River will face Independiente Santa Fe from Colombia, starting as visitors and closing at the Estadio Monumental. Boca will play against Deportivo Recoleta from Paraguay, starting at the Bombonera and finishing in Paraguay. Tigre will meet Montevideo City Torque from Uruguay, starting at the José Dellagiovanna. The first leg matches are scheduled between August 11 and 13, and the return matches between August 18 and 20.
