BBVA Bank has incorporated a feature that allows users to pay all services with a credit card through its mobile application, becoming the first bank in the country to enable this option for taxes, expenses, schools, clubs, telecommunications, and public services. The implementation will be gradual: in August, it will be available for new services added through the app, and in September, it will be usable for payments of already subscribed services. Previously, these payments were mainly made through debit. With the new tool, users can select a BBVA Visa or Mastercard, and the amount will be reflected in the next statement without additional financing costs, allowing payment to be deferred until the card's closing date. This addition responds to an increase in fixed expenses within the family budget, with a report indicating a 24.5% year-on-year growth in spending on taxes and services. BBVA reports that nearly 500,000 customers make approximately 1.6 million service payments per month through digital channels. The new functionality aims to provide greater flexibility in everyday financial management.
