Bitcoin Price Drops 2% to 81473 Dollars Amid Inflation Concerns
Bitcoin's price has decreased this week, currently at 81473 dollars, down 2% over the past seven days, following new inflation data indicating higher-than-expected U.S. consumer prices in September. CoinShares' Head of Research, James Butterfill, stated that while the near-term outlook for Bitcoin is challenging, it is not fundamentally bearish. He noted that the macro environment is complicated, with elevated inflation preventing the Federal Reserve from easing policies, while a resilient economy limits the potential for a policy pivot. The recent rise in U.S. producer prices, the fastest in over four years, has also contributed to downward pressure on Bitcoin, as higher inflation could lead to increased interest rates, restricting liquidity necessary for price rallies. The Federal Reserve raised rates in September and is set to meet again at the end of this month. Butterfill advised investors to maintain a long-term perspective and to view upcoming data as part of a range rather than a trend, suggesting that digital asset exposure should align with strategic allocations.
