Changes in Traffic on Kyiv Bridges During Air Alerts
In Kyiv, the traffic order on the Podilsky and Southern bridges is being updated during air alerts. Vehicles will be able to move in both directions on the Podilsky bridge, while passage from the right bank to the left bank on the Southern bridge will be allowed after the completion of technological closures. The work on updating the temporary traffic scheme on the Podilsky bridge is expected to be completed by September 10. During alerts, traffic from the left bank to the right bank will be continuous, and the number of lanes for oncoming traffic will be reduced to two. For vehicles traveling from the right bank to the left bank, a temporary exit to the opposite side of the bridge with two lanes will be provided. On the Southern bridge during alerts, movement from the right bank to the left bank will be permitted; however, after the alert is announced, traffic will be closed for 30 minutes. After the alert is lifted, a 30-minute closure will also be in effect regardless of the threat level. Access to the Southern bridge will be reopened from the Dnipro and Kyiv highways. The operation of buses No. 22 and No. 91 on the Southern bridge will remain unchanged, while buses No. 110, No. 111, and No. 112 will be able to operate without restrictions after the completion of work on the Podilsky bridge during yellow and red alert levels.
