Eugene Leow, a senior interest rate strategist at DBS Bank in Singapore, stated that the demand for safe-haven assets is rising, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield is expected to fall to 4.8%. Caution will remain a core consideration for investors. Concerns about AI, risks of economic slowdown, and political uncertainties in Europe and the U.S. suggest that the demand for safe havens will persist for some time. At the current absolute yield levels, U.S. Treasuries are suitable as a hedging tool. From a trading perspective, 4.8% is a logically sound technical target in the short term.
