Eastern Mining and Processing Plant Saves 32 Million UAH Before Corporatization

The State Eastern Mining and Processing Plant has signed contracts worth 32 million UAH less than the initial supplier proposals over the past four months. This difference reflects the actual contract prices compared to the initial offers. In particular, the plant signed a contract for the supply of 500 tons of nitric acid, with a price 25% lower than the initial proposal. The reduction in cost is attributed to the involvement of a greater number of participants, including manufacturers and their representatives. The plant plans to reduce the services of third-party contractors by purchasing equipment and filling job vacancies. The freed-up funds will be directed towards increasing the production of uranium oxide concentrate. The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a bill to create a joint-stock company for the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant, which will create conditions for joining Energoatom. This will integrate uranium raw material extraction, uranium concentrate production, and electricity generation. To implement the development plan, the plant has received a loan of 555 million UAH for the purchase of equipment and the reconstruction of mines.
