Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook has denied the mortgage fraud allegations raised by Trump. Trump is considering restarting efforts to remove Cook, which could trigger legal disputes regarding the independence of the Federal Reserve. Cook's attorney stated in a letter to the White House that these allegations are "baseless and untrue," asserting that Cook has never engaged in mortgage fraud or any misconduct, and there is no legal justification for removal.
