Flare Opens Path to Monetize XRP through FXRP
Flare has introduced a feature that allows XRP to be converted into FXRP, enabling holders to seek profits through vaults. XRP holders can now access decentralized finance (DeFi) services via FXRP. According to CryptoBriefing on the 8th, assets can be deployed into profit strategies through vaults utilizing FXRP, although the launch timing and deposit sizes have not been disclosed. FXRP is an asset that converts XRP for use within the Flare network, connecting to various DeFi services such as lending, borrowing, and liquidity provision. The vault seeks profits by allocating deposited assets across multiple on-chain strategies, and the management methods may vary depending on the product. The profit structure differs from vault to vault, with liquidity-providing products being influenced by trading volume and reward policies. The expansion of FXRP usage aligns with the trend of connecting XRP to other financial services without selling it, and Flare's developer documentation explains that FXRP can be used for lending, borrowing, yield farming, and liquidity provision. However, the outcomes of vault operations and XRP price fluctuations are separate, and risks related to the network, smart contracts, and liquidity may arise during the FXRP conversion and redemption process. This feature adds an option to connect XRP holdings to DeFi products.
