Illegal Production of Counterfeit Fuel Worth 50 Million UAH Uncovered in Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk Regions

In the Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions, illegal production and sale of counterfeit fuel through a network of controlled gas stations has been halted. Over 233,000 liters of fuel have been seized, with the total value of the petroleum products and equipment amounting to approximately 50 million UAH. Additionally, 25 tons of stable gas condensate and 24 tons of multifunctional diluent were confiscated. The equipment and tanks used for production have been sealed. The organizers of the scheme set up production at the facilities of controlled enterprises without the necessary permits. To manufacture the fuel, components of unknown origin were mixed using special equipment, and the product did not meet state standards. The counterfeit fuel was sold through a network of controlled gas stations. The scheme was uncovered as part of a criminal investigation involving the State Tax Service, the Bureau of Economic Security, and the National Police.
