Ledger has announced the development of a new device called Ledger Atom, which is scheduled to be released in mid-2027. This device is based on the Android system and supports applications such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok, allowing users to switch between everyday mobile functions and a cryptocurrency protection mode, while also integrating the AI assistant OpenClaw. This announcement comes amid ongoing concerns over Ledger's supply chain security incidents, following the CryptoBilis event that resulted in losses for over 300 wallets, with on-chain researchers estimating losses could be as high as $93.2 million.
