Morgan Stanley: AI Investment Enters Mid-Game Adjustment, Focus on Application and HALO Resource Matching

Morgan Stanley's Chief Economist for China, Xing Ziqiang, stated at a media briefing that the recent fluctuations in the AI sector are not due to a deterioration in fundamentals, but rather a result of crowded trading, large companies withdrawing financing, and the resonance of rising oil prices increasing interest rate expectations. He pointed out that AI investment has entered a "mid-game adjustment," with investment logic shifting from chasing upstream computing power chips to two new main lines: AI applications (cost reduction and revenue generation) and HALO resource matching (energy, energy storage, and raw materials).
