Oil Prices Gradually Ignore Trump's Social Media Posts

Axios analysis shows that oil prices are increasingly disregarding Trump's social media posts regarding the Iran war. Oil analyst Ben Cahill pointed out that in the early stages of the conflict, the market exhibited a high degree of uncertainty regarding U.S. policies and objectives, leading to an overreaction to numerous posts. Over time, the market has gradually ignored social media posts, believing they do not reflect the actual situation. Cahill stated that Trump's comments about the Strait of Hormuz are "zero correlated" with actual shipping volumes. He believes that the White House was quite successful in controlling the narrative and suppressing oil prices, but this effect has now worn off.
