Open Standard Stablecoin OUSD Officially Launched
Open USD (OUSD) has been launched, allowing businesses and developers to build financial services and products based on OUSD. OUSD is issued by Bridge, a subsidiary of Stripe, with reserve assets held by BlackRock, Lead Bank, and BNY Mellon, and reserve proofs will be published monthly. Businesses can access OUSD through Mastercard, Stripe, and Visa stablecoin platforms, with Coinbase supporting it starting October 1. All access methods support free minting and redemption at a 1:1 ratio. OUSD natively supports Base, Ethereum, Solana, and Tempo networks, and will be available on Coinbase, Kraken, and Uniswap. Open Standard has over 200 partners, who can earn rewards based on the volume and activity they drive, with opportunities to gain equity in Open Standard.
