Polygon to Burn 25 Million POL, Aiming for 1 Millisecond On-Chain Confirmation
Polygon co-founder Sandeep stated that the POL community has recently accumulated and permanently burned 100 million POL through on-chain revenue, accounting for approximately 1% of the total supply. An additional 25 million POL will be burned, and accumulation is ongoing. Sandeep also mentioned that Polymarket has launched perpetual contracts on Polygon, and Polygon PoS is gradually evolving towards a more advanced blockchain, with an expected confirmation time of 1 millisecond in the future. Furthermore, OMS will enable Polygon to handle approximately 1 million new transactions daily.
